Where music, neuroscience, and inclusion converge

Who I am

Hello! I’m Sandra, a Colombian cellist and educator with my heart divided between Hong Kong and Latin America.

For over two decades, I’ve woven together my three passions—education, music, and neuroscience—to create teaching methods that heal, inspire, and transform. My personal journey—from a rigid musical education to discovering the Suzuki philosophy and specializing in educational neuropsychology—has shown me that learning is far more effective and joyful when it’s a positive, individualized experience rooted in nurturing emotional and psychological stability.

Today, I support:

  • Individuals seeking efficient learning approaches grounded in self-awareness and neuroscience.

  • Children and adults learning the cello (Suzuki method + neuroeducational adaptations).

  • Educational centers with neurodiverse populations.

  • Institutions developing programs based on inclusion and neuropsychology.

I believe education is an act of empowerment and happiness—one that celebrates the uniqueness of every mind. Let’s work together!

  • "Miss Sandra’s unique blend of music education, educational counseling, and neuropsychological insights has created a transformative learning experience for both me and my child. Her patient, non-comparative teaching style fosters confidence, self-discovery, and resilience, while her innovative methods—like meditation and personalized strategies—ensure steady progress and a deep love for music. Her guidance has not only improved our technical skills but also helped us internalize knowledge, manage stress, and approach challenges with a growth mindset. Miss Sandra’s holistic approach is a game-changer for anyone seeking to grow musically, emotionally, and intellectually."

  • “Cello lessons are always happy moments - even when there are challenges and problems in learning how to play specific pieces. We look forward to every lesson as a chance to express ourselves freely and to build upon what we know. We learn that resilience and optimism are key ingredients in studying music. Although it may seem intuitive that playing an instrument is immersive, Miss Sandra’s pedagogy reinforces the indivisibility of thinking, feeling, and moving in harmony to produce sound. In this way, one learns that playing music well requires being totally focused and invested in the synchronization of physical and mental inputs.”

  • “Miss Sandra, after observing your cello lessons, it reminds me a teacher should treat the beginner students with love and utmost care before they developed tenacity of making music. I have seen so many teachers and/or parents force the students too early. This results in either the able student doing it without any passion or some other just quit and hate music in their life. Thank you.”

  • “I'm very lucky to be the Suzuki parent and able to learn cello with my daughter. Even though it's for her, it's definitely for me and us. Ms Sandra supported me to become a better parent. Her passion for nurturing children through her music teaching, armed with the knowledge in neuropsychology, is inspiring. I'm committed to continue this musical journey with my daughter, for as long as she allows! Want to end this with a quote from Ms Sandra: <Cello is just an excuse for us to become a better person>."
